Passes are $3/day. Byrd Green Bank Telescope the largest fully steerable telescope in the world that stands at 485 feet above ground level and its dish has a diameter of 300 feet. Please watch for and observe the posted speed limits when passing through small towns. We drove past at least eight other telescopes-larger and larger and newer and newer and finally we came to the Robert C. at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s Goldstone planetary radar in California and the National Science Foundation’s Green Bank Observatory in West Virginia. The Observatory needs access to high quality internet service providers to function, like all Pocahontas county residents.
